<p>I want to become an English professor at a university. What should be my major in pursuing this goal</p>

<p>In order to be an English major you gotta love reading and writing… and be the most read person you know to be a professor especially.</p>
<p>There aren’t too many English majors, but that’s because they’re vague. Here are some from my local Uni:</p>
<p>Cinema Studies (self-explanatory)
Literary Studies (famous works and authors)
Creative Writing (styles and voices)
Language & Literature (different genres and themes)</p>
<p>Classical Studies (Greek, Latin)
Greek or Latin Literature Majors</p>
<p>Humanities (Asian [Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Thai, etc.] European [French, Germanics, Italian, etc.] Near Eastern [Hebrew, Arabic, Biblical], Scandinavian [Swedish, Danish, etc.], Slavic [Russian, Romanian, etc.] literature.</p>
<p>Journalism
Public Relations</p>
<p>Hopefully something catches your eye.</p>
