I really love traveling, the environment, history and different cultures. Ive been looking at environmental studies and international studies but I’ve heard from some people those are kind of useless majors? I’m really good at geography and history but not so great and math and science. What is a major that would allow me to travel a lot and learn about different cultures/or protecting the environment but wouldn’t be useless majors meaning that I could land a good job fairly well.

“Useful majors” generally have a strong quantitative component.

So, your options are 1) get good at math, quick, and/or 2) stop worrying about what random people tell you and just major in something you are good at.

Here is one ranking of majors by salary. There are a few more floating around on the web.

International relations is #28, which is ahead of a lot of science and business majors.
