Good friend was rejected from his #1 choice. What should I say? Should I say anything? I have yet to be rejected (yet to be accepted too) so I have no idea what he is going through.

If he’s broken up about it, I would tell him that maybe it wasn’t meant to be. Perhaps the college he ultimately ends up at is where he is supposed to be; where he meets his true love, special friends that will last a lifetime, or connections that will lead to his dream career.

Fides you are needed at the chances forum in a thread by tina.

tell him that the colelge doesn’t know what they’re tlaking about. I find that better than the ol “o im sorry”

i second what krnpsychopath said. trust me on this one, your friend will want to kill you if you say, “it just wasnt meant to be”. if it was their top pick, nothing you can say will make it better, and saying that the place they wanted to go the most just isn’t the place that they’re meant to end up at will make it a lot worse.

just give your friend some space and let him get over it.

i like the last one most

Don’t say anything. Nothing you can say will make a difference.
