What should I write my essay about?

This question is probably posted about a 100 times a day. But it is worth a shot to get some guidance from others. Background info: I’m African American that goes to a well private school. 87.2 weighted gpa, sat math 650 reading 550. Plan on getting it higher. Reach school umass amherest and wpi < impossible. Computer science major
I have two topics:

Write about how my love for computers separated me from my friends. So much time put into coding and taking online classes I had to learn how to balance my life

Race card, I don’t want to pull the race card because it is an unfair advantage and I believe it is wrong anyway. I would write how I was neither fully accepted socially. All my friends were temporary friends and we’re only friends with me at time of need. The white students called me the n word and the blacks neglected me because I was educated and not a football jock

Favorite: write how ever since I took a c++ course at brown university, I saw everything in code. I always tried to image how to code everything from traffic light algorithms to basic apps.

Or something else, you guys decide and if you have any other ideas please post. Feedback is badly wanted!!! Written on iPhone so format and grammar is probably horrible sorry*

I’d say it really depends on which distinguishes you most as a person and what has been the larger part of building your identity? If that’s about working on computers, that’s great! If it’s overcoming adversity based on your race, that’s totally fine too. Just think about it for a while and the other topic will more than likely be able to show up in another part of your essay! Hope this helps.

I really like the sound of the third one. Second one could work if you really personalize it so it’s something only you could have written. Not that racism isn’t important, but just keep in mind how are you distinguishing yourself from other black students who have experienced similar things?
