No matter how small or seemingly foolish it sounds, what makes your day better no matter what?

During the summer, its definitely hearing from school friends I haven’t talked to in a while.

yay!! I love this thread – I try to find one thing I’m thankful for everyday.

For me, it’s
No line where I go to eat lunch
Phone call from my boyfriend (who I haven’t seen in over 2 months)
Smiles from random people
Compliments
Busy day at work
Waking up early enough to take a loooong shower
Good hair days
Finding money in my jacket/pants
the list goes on…

yeah I’m a happy-go-lucky type of girl

haha. i dunno about that one.

i personally love it when the weather is perfect while i play tennis outside, especially if i’m “on” that day.

i also love it when someone randomly offers you some food or candy you haven’t had in a long time that you didn’t even know you were craving until they offered it to you.

also meeting some fine guy always makes my day.

Getting a hug from one of my close female friends! All of them give great hugs! One of them however, is really strong and she sometimes hurts my ribs, lol!

Seeing my dog do something cute, like resting his head on my stomach when I lay down.
Hearing a song I haven’t heard in a while
Finding money (no matter how little)
Looking in the mirror and not looking like a mess
Coming downstairs to find that someone cooked me breakfast
Waking up and realizing I have no work to do

ice cream
yum :)

nothing…

panic, i’m sorry to hear that.

as for me, the usual stuff:

-Jogging
-a good song played on the radio
-nice weather
-compliments
-a good night’s sleep
-talking
-journaling
-reuniting with people i haven’t seen in a long time. it does happen a lot.
-taking day trips to downtown chicago. i do this probably 3-4 times a week.
-a cold drink, like a malt freeze or something similar
-to know that i’m feeling well. i had been lightheaded for weeks, so i no longer take my health for granted.

Lemon Meringue Pie :)

little ways of therapy at my customer service job.

like doodling on the backs of duplicate reciepts.
or putting on a creepy Wiggles video on the display TVs.
or wearing a ‘RISE F—ING AGAINST’ shirt under the hideous Hawaiian shirts they’re making us wear.

today I got my own shiny new boxcutter, and this thrills me a bit more than it should.

when someone tells me that my skin looks good/glowing/smooth/whatever

-chocolate. xD lol
-playing with my little cousins.
-a gorgeous day.
-writing.
-hanging out in the pool.
-reading a good book.
-hugs. =)

getting paid.

chocolate!!!

and sleep!!!

-definitely compliments, smiles (esp from females)
-meeting somebody new who is cool
-not forgetting money for lunch/having more in my wallet/bank account than i expected, etc
-talking to someone (for a good reason) i never figured id be talking to
-alcohol makes me happy too!

-walking past a cute guy and knowing that he’s turning his head to follow me; it happens rarely, and arguably, it’s slightly objectionable, but it’s so satisfying to know that I look good!
-watching my daily dose of Friends
-when my mom comes back from the mall with new clothes for me even if I didn’t ask for anything.
-my monthly paycheck!! (Got it yesterday; I was happy!)
-compliments of course
-eating a tiny piece of ghiradelli dark chocolate; that stuff is sent from heaven, I swear

The one thing that can ruin my day in a snap:
-my mother asking, “How are the college application essays going? Make sure you’re working on them!” (as if I need to be reminded!! What the heck!?) and unfortunately, she asks nearly every day…sighh…

for today.

Steve Job’s Stanford Commencement Speech
Not exactly happy but makes me thoughtful.

^I read that; it was surprising, but very intriguing too…I didn’t know he wasn’t a college grad…

Compliments ![]()
hanging out with friends
a good test grade
people smiling at me :)

Favorite song on the radio: who wouldn’t perk up to Toby Mac’s Burn for You? “I am alive again, I am revived again…” Just makes me want to burst through the ceiling with energy and optimism.
