What software do we get for free from MIT?

<p>The title basically asks the question. What major software do we get for free? I hear rumours that we get a couple of copies of xp/vista, MS office for pc/mac, matlab, and a few other things. Is this true? Is there a bonified list of free stuff we can get somewhere? I am trying to figure out what I will need to buy as opposed to what I can get for free.</p>
