I am majoring in International Studies and French at a liberal arts college, but I’m wondering if there are any career fields I can go into straight out of college or if working in an IS field requires a more specific graduate degree.

That’s exactly what I want to major and minor in. Weird! I’m interested in the answer too!

You can most likely work for an NGO, or perhaps even a government agency, at an introductory level.

Couldn’t I still do that without an International Studies degree? Would it really make a difference what my degree was if it’s just entry level anyway?

You should have SOME background in the field. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be IR as a major. But something related.
