What sounds best for me?

Race:white
Gender: female
GPA(uw):3.5

I go to a small Jesuit high school in Indiana, where there are no class ranks. My school has about 800 kids, and I feel like I don’t stand out. In terms of college admissions

Volunteering: Susan G. Koman(2years), St. Vincent children’s hospital(5 years), food banks, and 30 school service hours(for community service class)

Extra curricular: varsity swimming, student council(board member), National Honor society,PACT(peers against cancer together), RAFA(raising awareness for animals), symphony orchestra , coexist, and Asian club.

I really want to be a pediatric cardiologist, but I fear my GPA is too low for any good colleges to even look at me. I am looking for advice on how to stand out more in terms of college admissions, and what I can do to maybe get scholarships. I am really looking forward to college, and I really want to get some amount of scholarship. Any advice would be grand :)

You can get into med school from almost anywhere.

The best way to get merit scholarship money is to have very high grades and standardized test scores. Your teachers’ recommendations will be important, too.

When you look for colleges, be sure to investigate Catholic and women’s schools. They’ll have strong academics and may be more supportive than others about your ambition. Also check your instate public colleges and universities, which may be less expensive and will keep your debt low.
