What SPS students wear??

^ no, we’re talking about the fleeces. usually the denali.

For fall term at sps i think i am basically just going to wear polos and khaki shorts untill it starts to get cold.

**You really don’t see much abercrombie and hollister, especially with kids from the older forms. Kids that use to wear these clothes in middle school generally make the transition to ralph lauren, j crew ect… **

This is hilarious. Mainly because in 7th-8th grade I wore American Eagle, Hollister, and Abercrombie a lot, and slowly transitioned into Lacoste, Polo, Brooks Brothers, etc. towards end of 8th grade/beginning of 9th without consciously being aware of it. Now I look back at Abercrombie and its really tacky and unflattering. It’s essentially overpriced Old Navy. And those cargo shorts and t-shirts with the worn off thread embroidering just make me wonder why I ever wore them in the first place.

^same thing here but with different stores. I can’t stand the ‘distressed’ look really, though its okay in moderation. The bold lettered store name on the shirt is really annoying too.

I am a proud wal-mart shopper.

ew, i hate walmart. Just sayin’, just don’t like what the sell.

Yeah, I buy from Wesc to Macys to Abercrombie to a lot of Lacoste and Ralph Lauren and I also buy Ecko and Calvin Klein and Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana and obviously the sports brands.

In PREPeration (no pun intended) I have started to add more J Crew/Polo etc… to my wardrobe. My old attire consisted mostly of jeans from Joes, Buffalo, Ag, etc and T shirts. Of course I have the lax shorts and pennies but I’m going to make the transition over the summer :P

I DON’T OWN A NORTHFACE OR UGGS. Just saying.

And I agree with stoompy. When I was in sixth grade, I HAD to have a $40 t-shirt that said HOLLISTER on the side. Now I look back and wonder why I ever liked it in the first place.

Although I have to admit, American Eagle has some good stuff. I like their dresses.

Lol you don’t own northface or Uggs ? Woah that’s weird lol all the girls in my school have North Face Fleece with Uggs.

that’s why i said the MAJORITY. neither do i lol ;)

Good. I think it’s a gross combination and very unflattering.

Hcos’s post was pretty much right- those are the brands all of the “preppy” people wear. And if you’re a girl, Tory Burch might be worth looking into (if you can afford it- i’m looking on ebay, where you can find great deals, because I sure as hell can’t afford it new).

Yeah, I go to a really preppy primary/middle school, and all the older girls wear Tory Burch flats. But they’re like 200 dollars. Or more.

In reference to post #29, I don’t own northface or uggs either.

haha i have north face and uggs… (but not the fleece, a small down jacket, not too puffy). I still have a few things from abercrombie and hollister, but it’s just a few unbranded (except for a moose) shirts and a skirt i think- you can fin “preppy” things (or things that fit into a preppy wardrobe) if you look for the right things. As for hoodies and t-shirts with the brand name on them in huge letters… I can’t believe i used to want that… and wear that…

oh and siiince i’ve been looking into Tory Burch flats- some of the cheaper styles are like $120 new. If you look on ebay, you can get them for as little as $50 or $60. If you’re going to a woodsy school, “Bean Boots” might also be worth looking into- they’re wicked comfy and very practical (plus a s***load of girls wear them). I desperately want a pair.

344 is a good store too

I have looked into the bean boots for awhile and everytime I see them I wonder which girls actually wear them. In my opinion, they are kind of ugly and I would rather have uggs however I know that if they are more pratical during a snowstorm I would rather wear them.

Deerfield girls dress nice :]

eh…they seem ugly, but it depends on what you wear them with. they’re really more rugged and woodsy, not clunky and ugly like you’d think.
