What steps for future

Well, I started some college classes pretty early. I was 15 and started taking classes. I did very well at first, had a 3.7 GPA the first 2 semesters. The next few semesters were pretty bad. I failed classes, had bad grades. And now with 2 semesters left at my comm college I have a 2.2 GPA. A decent amount of these we’re from when I wanted to start on my AA, but was a stupid 16-17 year old at the time and just didn’t feel like showing up.

I’m 19 now and realize my dumb mistakes. But am scared that the mistakes I made when I was younger are going to harm me for life and keep me from getting into a decent university. Is there anything I can do to help my future prospects? I am planning on retakes to get rid of all the Fs, but what does that tell a university? Will they respect the getting better grades, especially two years down the road?
