what tests are best with very little background knowledge

never took AP, just basic classes. what are the subjects that you can learn and get a good score on just by studying for a month

Literature and Math 1/2 probably will be your best bets. You can’t blow any of them off though

I heard that the SAT II Literature was one of the harder SATs?

I think Bio is pretty easy, and you only need basic knowledge (Meaning if you took the class, it doesn’t matter what level it was), then as long as you supplement yourself with some additional studying from PR/Kapland/Barons, you should easily score above a 700.

I guess it depends how you define very little background knowledge. I would expect someone who enjoys reading about history and has time to devote to recreational reading in popular books on history could do well in either of the history exams.

Well, I’m two years out of AP Physics B (took frosh year) and I just looked at a Physics sample set and owned it…Plus, I thought the SAT Chem yesterday was a breeze…so, I’m guessing that only minimal skills are necessary for the science SAT IIs.

I thought physics and biology were the hardest.
Just my personal opinion

Physics or Bio. I learned two things from my physics class - f=ma, and conservation of energy, and got a 670 from the test in the blue book. Either will require considerable effort though, if you’re talking about a 1 month time frame.

don’t listen to princeton, both chem and physics are the more difficult ones after foreign languages. :P

hehe, did I mention I love science and I’m Asian? :)

hm… depends what classes you took… it really depends on that… math should be okay… idk

What math classes have you taken?

i’d say math i/ii … not english lit unless you’re scoring a really high A in your english class (can’t really say that that’s a good indicator… try taking a practice test and you’ll see what i mean)

if you’re determined/have a lot of free time … then go with bio … if you’ve got all the content covered (try barron’s??) then you can expect 750>
