SCORES: My sat score is a 2290, and I got a 223 on the national merit psat. I have a 35 on the ACT.
I got an 800 in math 2 subject test and 740 on literature ST, also recently took physics and lot again.
GPA: I am rank 123 in an extremely competitive high school of 1470 people. This is with a gpa of 4.23. I will be taking 14 total AP classes, but only know the scores of three of them (5’s)
I am involved in several clubs but my weak point is leadership, the only leadership I could point out is this volunteer place I go to when I visit India, and I teach kids marketable skills to get them jobs.

I just need help to see what schools I should be looking for. I live in texas, so that might help. Thanks so much!!

Don’t look at tier, look at fit. And you should also be looking at a wide variety of schools, including match, safety, and reach. There are some great public schools in Texas, but could you help specify what you are looking for in a college? What will your major be? You clearly are a strong student, but narrowing down what you want from a college is the first step in the college search.

I suppose I worded it incorrectly then. I see what you mean by fit. I am searching for a school in which I would receive a strong education in engineering.

I would look into Georgia Tech if I were you as a low match if it’s a good fit. Beyond that, choose TAMU or another school where you should be happy attending and have assured admission and then aim wherever you want after that.
