What to bring this fall

I notice on the “What to Bring” list on the Scripps website a laptop lock. Are those generally used?

Might want to think about this instead of a laptop lock:

[LoJack for Laptops - Stolen Computer Recovery Service](<a href=“JP69 Kumpulan Permainan Game Online Paling Lengkap dan Bagus”>http://www.lojackforlaptops.com/)

My daughter didn’t have a laptop lock but I got the insurance to cover her dorm room contents. I just heard about lojack for laptops last night and it sounds like a good idea. I would think any kind of physical laptop lock would have a good chance of not being used.

I never knew anyone who used a laptop lock, although it was advised when I was a freshman, too. If anyone owned them, they were never pulled out.

I do think that I had dorm insurance, as kcpdmp mentioned.

Thanks for the feedback. I want my D to have everything she needs but a laptop lock just didn’t seem to fit the campus I saw. I think I’ll strike that off the list.

She should be just fine. Do encourage her to lock the door whenever the room will be empty (and at night)–no matter how many people leave their rooms open, it’s just a good precaution–and you’ll never even have to worry :)

I checked with my daughter and she said noone she knew used a laptop lock.
And I know one of her roommates had one, so she was not using it.

Thanks everybody. I think I won’t waste money on the lock.
