@“aunt bea” I realize that Ivies are not a guarantee, that’s why I’m trying to build the strongest app I can, including recommendations. I know it wouldn’t be a breaking decision, but everything helps. Also, I definitely don’t give off lackluster vibes. That’s not how he thinks about me, it’s just the way his writing style came off. He knows that I take my work seriously, and knew I was at the top of both of the classes I took with him and that I am an engaged student. We have the type of in-class relationship where we laugh at eachother’s jokes, talk politics, and reminisce about lifting. I guess I will ask my French teacher for one then. Dartmouth is kind of ambiguous on their website, it says “2 Teacher Evaluations: We want to know from your junior- or senior-year teachers of academic classes (math, history, etc.) what you are like in the classroom.” Etc. could include language right? Thanks for all the advice people!
Yes. Academic class would be English, history/social studies, math, science, and foreign language. It excludes arts (usually, but not always), PE, shop, drivers ed, etc.
Cool, thanks. I asked him after school and he was thrilled.
There’s your answer for how he will write your LOR! It’s a good omen! Good luck!
