I just got my SAT scores.
I got 1730
What can I do to improve?

It depends on a lot of factors: what did you do before the test? what are you doing now? when will you take it again? what are you doing in school that’s helping you out?

Also, how was the 1730 laid out over the 3 areas? What are you weakest at or strongest?

If you provide more details, maybe you’ll get more replies other than mine.

I did the practice tests from the blue book and some other practice.
I would be giving it maybe in dec or maybe in june.
Maths: 650
Reading: 550
Writing: 530
Essay: 8

I was quite actually schocked to see my result because i always used to score 2000+ in practice tests.

Writing: Go over all the grammar rules. Make sure to revisit your mistakes.
Math: Do one of those diagnostic tests and figure out which areas you are making the most mistakes in and work on those types of questions specifically.
Reading: Do more practice for the passage reading and memorize more vocabulary.

You should invest in the College Board’s Blue Book, and the SAT Prep Black Book by Mike Barrett. I’m reading it now, and it’s helping me understand strategies and patterns behind how the test is designed. It needs to be paired with the Blue Book though, so you need both. Things like Vocab memorization and other techniques can actually be quite inefficient, the book talks about better test prep.
Thanks :)
