I am a dependent undergraduate and I can’t qualify for any grant aid. This means that I only am eligible to receive $7,500 in direct loans. I only attend part-time which makes it difficult to obtain scholarships. I doubt my parents will cosign and I do not have a credit history, so private loans are not really an option either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fill the gap?
P.S. this is barely enough to even cover part-time enrollment.
According to other threads, you are in your fourth year of attending college part time. How did you pay up to now?
@kelsmom do part time students get the full Direct Loan amount?
@TheAverageJoe71 are you a college junior? If not…how are you getting $7500 in loans?
ETA…I see by credits that you are a college junior.
How to get the money? What have you done up until now to pay for college?
@thumper1 My mom paid me through community college for the first three years of my education. She can’t pay for it now that I have transferred to a university because universities are twice as expensive. Part time students do get the full direct loan amount. Also, I am a junior by credits with 107 credits (I need 180 to graduate)
