I believe that your financial offer after Spring break is just this, an offer. You can accept it, you can decline it or part of it, I don’t know about appeal.
It is not actual financial aid. Actual money would be released in August after UT gets them from the federal government, from the state of Texas, and from different funds and sponsors.
And upgraded ID is needed for UT accountability.
What is really important is NOT TO FORGET to pay for classes with financial aid BEFORE DEADLINE, or all the classes will be automatically dropped.
I believe, Texas parents will remind you about deadlines.
And if you go to Family orientation, you will be able to attend special workshop for parents about financial aid.
And when your student gets finaid offer he/she will receive a lot of forms, explanations, loan agreements to sign, some videos to watch etc.
You just have to wait til after Spring break.
FAFSA deadline has not passed yet, It is March 15.
