wow, not even one reply, i need something catchy in here

You need a safety school. With a 3.6 GPA, you can’t be guaranteed admission at any of these schools. Michigan, you’re probably thinking of as a safety, has higher standards for OOS applicants, and if you haven’t applied yet, you may not get in. Your GPA is below average for an OOS student, and your test scores are just average for an OOS applicant. It’s almost a 50/50 chance at Michigan, and that’s not a safety. You could easily be rejected.

All your schools are going to be very hard to get into with a 3.6. And even if you were a very qualified applicant, these schools have very low acceptance rates in the first place. Duke (26%), Georgetown (22%), Columbia (11%), NYU (35%), Hopkins (30%). All those schools take less than 1 in 3, meaning you need to have something that stands out, putting you ahead of the applicant pool. And a 3.6 will put you behind the pool to start with.

Look at less prestigious schools. The only school I see you possibly getting admitted to here is Michigan. Test scores and GPA just too low, and combine that with the fact that these schools don’t admit many applicants to begin with.

i have backup schools already, i was just posting these schools, thanks for the post though

i am retaking the sat 1, and my research experience is designed to help me stick out, i do have a published project
