<p>I took a gap year.
I explained my gap year in detail in the addtional info section.</p>

<p>However, Duke’s supplement has a required field :</p>

<p>If you have already completed a secondary school program, what are or will you be doing in the time between your secondary school graduation and your proposed enrollment at Duke? </p>

<p>Should I just repeat the information ?
Or just upload a document saying “please refer to the additional information section” ?</p>

<p>I would repeat the information. Not that it makes that big a difference, but it’s more convenient for the reader than having to flip back and forth between your app and your supplement. A college application is a communication piece, and a big part of communication is just minimizing the barriers.</p>
