What to expect from a masters in business?

<p>Just wondering what are some typical jobs for a person with a masters in business. Also whats the average salary for those jobs? Thanks</p>

<p>You should not expect any jobs…</p>

<p>You might just be “overqualified.”</p>

<p>Totally depends on where you get your MBA from. From a top 5 program you will be in demand inb most industries and can make $150K plus your first year out. From lower ranked programs you would have far fewer choices and would be lucky to get a job paying $70K.</p>

<p>$150K and $70K is a HUGE difference…</p>

<p>Top 3 programs avg 120k starting. Top 20 avg around 100k starting. Lower ranked may be around 75k. Bad schools can go all the way down the $45k</p>

<p>There are a ton of different jobs that they can land (often there are undergrad equivalents and the MBA jobs are just higher level).</p>

<p>The wealthiest, most influencial Americans have M.B.A degrees from business schools like: Harvard, Yale, Northwestern and George Washington. So basically, if you get your MBa from Harvard, you’re set for life:)</p>

<p>Yale’s MBA program is barely in the top 10. George Washington’s MBA is not in the top 50. I have no clue what the previous poster meant about grades.</p>
