Would it be frowned upon to wear sweats and a t-shirt to the SAT? All the advice I’ve received points to wearing something comfortable, and said outfit fits the bill. I also briefly considered wearing a banana suit but decided against it because of the possibility that it might distract fellow test-takers. If neither sweats nor banana suits are remotely acceptable, I’m open to suggestions.

… almost everyone you see will be wearing sweats and a t-shirt. It will be frowned upon to wear a banana suit.

Sweatpants are great for hot and cold.

Tshirts are okay if its hot. But if its cold you going to be tight. So just bring a hoodie along with you/one extra layer just to maintain a good temperature no matter what.

whatever you want, just not a banana suit. I usually wore a t-shirt, jeans, an sneakers. But sweatpants are always fine. Make sure you have an extra layer though, because some proctors are stupid and leave the windows open when it’s freezing out, or close 'em when it’s burning hot

I wore sweat shirt and jeans because that’s what I was most comfy in. Wear what makes you comfortable, but nothing too outrageous.

Yes, layers are good. If it is too hot or cold in the room, you don’t want to be distracted at all. So a t-shirt with a sweatshirt and jeans/long pants are a good idea.

Wear whatever will be comfortable. Advice of layers is perfect. My son wears khakis to school every day and rarely leaves the house in sweat pants, but has worn sweats to each of these College Board exams.

Photo ID, extra batteries for calculator, and a bottle of water. Best of luck!

Thank you all! Time to PWN the SAT. (not how I usually talk. PWNtheSAT is the brand of the most useful and funny math prep book. but I’m going to PWN it anyway.)

I try to wear anything which I know I will be comfortable in for a long time
I avoid jeans and anything tight :P

Nothing :d

Comfort, comfort, comfort. Many have reported over the years that the room get’s cold, so bring a sweater, jacket or hoodie. Best of luck!

A black hoodie and shades

A hoodie and jeans. Jeans can be pretty tight but personally I find it helps me focus more. Too much comfort for me is distracting
