Straight out of college, I mean. I’m talking about people who don’t have that great academic, leadership, or social skills. And have a finance/accounting major.

It’ll be hard graduating anywhere to have an absolutely amazing job with bad academic, leadership, and social skills. Stern does offer more opportunities than most colleges and the networking is great. Networking of course, is half the battle, with the other half being academic, etc.

Oh, I know that an amazing job would not be possible, but how realistic would an above average job be?

Stern students are extremely competitive. if you are aiming to be average, you aren’t in the right school. But typically speaking, in this economy, “average” Stern students end up working for small firms or just interning after graduating.

If you are just a little above average at Stern, you can easily get a job with a big name firm with a little luck.
