What type of schools should I look at?

As a sophomore I took the ACT without studying and got a 25 composite. (I aim on getting a 27-28 comp) Is that reasonable/in reach for me?
At the end of my sophomore year GPA: 3.65 with 4 honors courses in the past two years.

As it stands, what schools should I apply to with a 3.65/25 ACT?

Also, I am a nationally ranked football kicker and have gotten interest from several D1 schools. Would my average academic standing prevent me from being recruited to play college football?

Thanks yall

A 25 isn’t bad as a sophmore by any means, but don’t even waste your time thinking about college yet. Your score will definitely improve.

lol if a school wants you to play football for them, you will play football for them

just look at derrick rose with bball

Your score is probably much higher than many other top football players

^^ yeah it is. I have talked to a few D1 schools and they said the fact that I have a 25 is amazingly good, and i’m doing it for soccer. A sport that, in my opinion, doesn’t have as many complete idiots as football

a 25 your sophomore year? 30+ is in reach by the fall of your senior year.

believe me, you won’t be kept out because of academics. a football player at my high school will be attending vanderbilt with me in the fall, despite the fact that before he was recruited there, his number one match school was arkansas.

i may be a little sore on this subject, but i suppose that’s the price you have to pay to improve a subpar team.
