what types of suspensions are wost when applying

Which ones are worst than others and could you still get in a higher education institution with average grades? What if you have more than 1?10?15? Do you have to list all of them wwhen applying to schools?? Thanks!!!

Your scenario is far from the mainstream. Your own HS guid counselor will be best equipped to help you.

If you think about why they would ask anyone, then you’ll realize that they want full disclosure. They want to know if any student has a past history of disruptive, illegal or otherwise detrimental behavior. They have a legal responsibility to vet each applicant. How do they know you won’t repeat your offenses?

If you decline to answer fully, they can revoke your application, kick you out and sue you for any Fin Aid you receive under false pretenses if enrolled, or revoke your diploma later and sue you for any Fin Aid you receive.

It’s complex, I agree. But your fate isn’t sealed. I’m sure options exist for you. Again, your local HS guid counselor/social worker are best equipped to guide you. Best of luck to you on the turnaround road.

I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out where this question comes from (and why the answer matters). Is somebody offering you the opportunity to choose what kind of suspension you get?

There are, and probably always will be, open-enrollment avenues to higher education. I used to teach community college classes in prisons. So, yes, there are ways. They may not be prestigious, but they would offer a dedicated student the chance to demonstrate that he or she has the personal and academic mettle for college.

“What if you have more than 1?10?15?”

10? 15? Is this a joke?

I am not an expert on this subject. I am simply using some logic…I would think more than 1 suspension would be a problem and the more suspensions the more of a problem you have because you are not learning from your mistakes! Schools are looking to add to and enhance their community so anti-social, anti-authority behavior exhibited by multiple suspensions would be a deal breaker.
