What was your favorite lower division class at UCSD?

Hi guys, I’m an incoming first year and I might take a random class for fun. I was wondering from personal experience which lower div class did you guys enjoy the most?

Thanks!

i might be in the extreme minority here, but i really liked chem 6BL/7L.

… but take a look at the offerings from the psychology and sociology departments. some topics are really interesting (but may be at the UD level).

I really enjoyed the gen chem series (CHEM 6A-C) but I don’t think that was exactly what you had in mind for a random fun class. Some of my suitemates took a Gospel Choir class for 3 units and said it was fun. Have you considered taking a freshman seminar? They have a lot of interesting topics and they give you a chance to interact with a professor in a small classroom setting. All of my friends who took them really liked it.

The two classes I would recommend are MUS 15 and PSYC 1. They were both really fun and easy. MUS 15 changes its subject every quarter in case you’re thinking of taking it in the future so keep that in mind. You can look here for the subjects.
