I had mostly As, a few Bs, and two Cs. For my SATs, I tested once, and received a 2110, and I did the same for ACTs with a 33. I did the full IB diploma and took AP Gov and BC Calc my sophomore and junior years, as well as the APUSH exam.

Accepted at USC, St. Olaf, and SUNY Stony Brook
Waitlisted at Carleton
Rejected from UVA (instate), NYU Tisch, Columbia, Barnard, Northwestern, and Pomona. Those were probably because of the two Cs, unfortunately, and I fought tooth and nail to get those grades to even be Cs.

I did a buttload of extracurriculars, and I really highlighted my theatre involvement for my application (I applied to the BA theatre).

I kept in contact with my overall admissions counselor and kept in pretty close contact with one of the people in the theatre admissions office. I had a great interview with the theatre admissions officer as well, and I think that only helped me. I feel like USC was definitely the school I showed the most interest in, and I’m sure that only helped me.
