What were your stats if you were admitted this year

If you got rejected too actually
just put:
accepted/rejected
act score
sat score
gpa
number of ap’s
extra curricilars
and any additional information

Thank you I am just trying to get a feel for where I stand.

OK, so:

Attending: Yale

Accepted: Yale, Western, U of Toronto
Rejected: UPenn Wharton, Lehigh, Queens
SAT I: 690 CR, 680 M, 720 W
SAT II: 570 Lit, 650 M
Didnt take ACT
GPA: 4.0 UW, 5.0 W
No AP courses (Im from Canada, where taking a “U” course is equivalent to taking an AP in an American school. So, by that logic, I took 4 APs)

Other info:

If you have any specific questions, PM me, Ill try and answer them

checks forum label

Yes, yes…this is the UGA forum and I do believe the original poster meant if you were admitted into UGA…

haaaa, wooow. I am very sorry, my bad.

Admitted early action
SAT:CR 580 M 680 W 540 (when admitted, i retook in december)
GPA: 3.7 UGA GPA (bad freshman year, one B besides freshman year)(3.96 soph/junior)
AP: French, Chem, Physics B, Calculus BC
Attending: Georgia Tech

If you’re willing to post your stats, UGA students on this forum will probably be able to give you a good [and objective] idea of where you stand.

ilyssa1257 the Sats you posted, are those the ones you got in with, or did u get in with other ones? If so, then why is everyone saying its so hard to get in to. A 3.7 and a 1260 is good, but its not hard to get. So i dont understand why everyones saying its hard. I have a 3.95, this is UGA calculated i added .15 for aps, taken 3 so far, i will by the end of my senior year take 6 aps, and 6 honors courses, with various electives, and high level language. Do you think I have a good shot at getting in?

Oh and i have a 1300. or 1870

Admitted EA, applied and accepted to honors.

GPA: 4.2
Top 5%
30 ACT, 2080 SAT
Lots of unique extracurriculars and leadership stuff
*Note–my scores are significantly below the average for the honors program and most of my friends with similar SATs/grades got rejected from honors, so I’m pretty sure it was the ECs (which is unusual for UGA). If you’re interested in honors, you’ll probably need a 1440+ (for Math + CR)

UGA places a HUGE emphasis on standardized tests, so much that people with ok GPAs but SATs over 2200 got into honors and people with crappy GPAs (low 3.0) got in with 2100+ on SATs

@persian- I got in with those SATs early action and I retook it and got a higher score so I could get into Georgia Tech

Its not hard to get into UGA early action if you have 1200s+ and a decent GPA.

also, they look at grades semester by semester, so if you have an upward trend thats good. I had one B after freshman year.
