<p>What will the housing and food charges for the extra session be? My freshman D (who’s taking 18 credit hours for the semester at a college in VA) wants to ease into Tulane with 3 classes in spring and 3 classes for the extra session.</p>
<p>Sounds like a good plan on the surface, but encourage her to think about the fact that three courses in the short session will be the equal of six in a regular semester. I’m not saying she shouldn’t do it that way, but there will be no break between the two, so maybe four and two (which would be the equal of four and four in terms of work and class hours per week) would be a better plan?? Having taught short sessions, I know it can get pretty intense with so little time between classes.</p>
<p>As to room and board charges, I am assuming they will be half that for a regular session since the time is about half that of a semester. Of course, I don’t have any real basis for that assumption other than logic.</p>
<p>Well, they have said the room/board will be “pro-rated” so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I assumed the same thing as ctymom~, my cyber-twin ;). You could post that question, as they said they would update FAQs based on feedback and quesitons they receive.</p>
