Hi, I’m a junior with a 3.55 unweighted GPA. The first time I took the SAT, I scored an 1810 (with little preparation). I aim to score above a 2010 when I re-take it in March. When considering schools for me, please disregard the 1810. I am undergoing rigorous preparation with a tutor, and I am confident that I will have a higher score next time, so I would like to see what my chances would be with a 2010.

I go to an extremely competitive high school in which every class is honors level. This year I am taking AP Bio and AP English Lit, along with advanced math (precalc). My average for junior year alone will be a 3.73.
Next year I will be taking AP Chem, AP English Language, and AP Calculus ab.
I also plan on taking the SAT Subject Tests in biology, math 2, and either spanish or history.

As for my EC’s, they aren’t spectacular but they aren’t that bad either. I volunteer to help kids with their homework after school, I’m a classical ballet dancer, I’m vice-president of the writing club, and involved in the photo club and spanish club as well. Won an honorable mention in a poetry contest, hoping to volunteer at the hospital this summer.

I am having trouble finding match schools in the Northeast. I will consider schools in other areas, but the Northeast states are mainly where I’m looking.
Here are a few “matches”:
Binghamton
Loyola Maryland
Stony Brook

I’m not sure where else I could apply. Please consider that most colleges accept students from my school with a lower GPA than their incoming freshman because my school is so competitive (according to Naviance, the website which compares my grades with grades of students that have since graduated in years past).

I have some reaches in mind, such as BC and Cornell, but those are incredibly high reaches. I think Villanova might also be a reach for me, but much more realistic (the average GPA of students from my school accepted to Villanova was a 3.64).

Any other schools in mind? Thanks!
