I posted this earlier on a different thread, but no one seemed to notice it, so I decided to ask again. I had this question lingering in my head for a long time. I’ve always heard that if you are thinking about majoring in the sciences or taking pre-med courses in college, you should take science-related APs. If you had gotten less than a 5/4 on a science AP, and you decided to retake the test after canceling your score (because an AP science score is especially important to you), what would admission officers think of you? They would know that you took the test one year after you took the course, so would that be worse than reporting the first score?

I don’t think they would know if you retook it.
