Well I am looking to get the most financial aid out of most schools, and a lot of my schools are need blind, which is great but the problem is, in my essay, I talked about commonapp prompt 1 and how my identity as a poor hispanic fueled my motivation to work hard, understand the sacrifices my parents made for me, and helping those who are less fortunate. Would this hurt my admission chances? I’ve heard from places that colleges reject applicants because they are selfish and want more money, but I know this is pessimistic.
I don’t think it would a problem, you’re definitely over thinking this.
