What would I need for YSM?

lets say I study at a top university in Canada, what would I need to accomplish to have a chance at YSM(or general top B-school in US)?

It’s a long ways away from today but I’m not making the same mistake twice
thnx for anyone who helps

ok I’m assuming you’re talking about SOM (school of management) rather than YSM (which usually refers to yale med school)

Um, well first of all while SOM is quite good, it isn’t the top of its class in terms of B-schools (places like Wharton are generally considered a bit better). Anyway, most elite B-schools want to see you working for a few years after you get your undergrad degree. Few of them will take many students straight out of college. So, get good grades, get a good job to start off with and then look into B-school. If you’re a HS senior, this is looking maybe 6 years into the future, so for now you can just think about college apps haha.

what do you mean by this?

“what do you mean by this?”
I don’t think my high school helped me plan enough for my univ. goals and led me into thinking planning should start in grade 11 so I’ve wasted the last 2 years of my life and i don’t think i can achieve my goals.
