I’m starting senior year this month and making final decisions on my schedule. For math, I can choose between financial algebra and pre-calculus. I have /never/ been a general math person, with the only math I enjoy being financing and statistics. Because of that, I’d really love to take financial algebra, but I’m nervous it isn’t good enough? It’s stated to be a business course in my high school catalog, and I am definitely going to major in a business field in college. Is FA okay for Texas colleges or should I go the traditional route with pre-calculus? Thank you for any help!
Are you a Texas resident and staying in-state? You can research Texas universities’ websites and find their course catalogs and degree plans to determine whether pre-calculus is a requirement. You might have to take pre-cal in college, if it’s a requirement for your major.
