If you could change one thing about the United States constitution, what would you change for the benefit of our society?

No Gay Marriage

Abortions illegal unless it affects the mother.

Make it waaay more difficult to have wars

laissez faire economy all the way.

A lot more, but i dont remember them right now.

On the constitution?

…Perhaps tougher gun control. I don’t know.

Just one thing…?

No.

GUN CONTROL

No income tax

Approval of the Equal Rights Amendment

Elimination of faith-based initiatives

Far tighter regulations on fuel efficiency

…among other things :l

haha well, I was hoping that some people would reply about “one thing” then explain about it, but multiple things is fine too.

Okay, yes, that. Nothing faith-based in government.

There.

Make it a law to fix our country’s problems before we solve another’s.

We have enough problems of our own.

Make it so a person who is born in a diff country can be president :). I was born in India lol.

make it so that the presidents elected are not idiots.

I would ban all cigarettes because I ABHOR smoke and smokers. I get enough of it at school and around the city, so yes, that would be the paradigm shift in the constitution that I would put in. “No person shall smoke to the detriment of air pureness and the non-smoker”

i like “bumping” into smokers so they drop their cigarette. I hate the smell, don’t do it right outside of the dorm where I HAVE to pass by you. They get really mad lol.

I’ve got two things.

1) repeal the 16th ammendment.

2) Clearly define government as secular.

Institute affirmative action in all public universities.

Repeal bans on smoking in privately owned facilities (clubs, bars, etc.)

I like that one too.

I agree… we have to be natural-born, right? What exactly does that mean? I was born in Ottawa, Canada and automatically got US citizenship because my mom’s American. I moved to the US when I was two or three and have been living here ever since, but I still go to Canada when I’m not in school.

10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage is Wrong:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were
allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

hahhahha ^^^^^

That’s been posted so many times :)

abolish the electoral college and replace it with a popular vote.

it makes me not even want to participate. it’s pretty much pointless to vote unless you live in ohio or new hampshire or somewhere where they dont always vote democrat/republican.
