I would like for everyone to have super awesome critical reading skills and to employ them for the good of humanity. The critical reading skills could come with a side of moral courage.
People to just be kind to each other. ALL people.
Hurricanes to stay away from the Gulf of Mexico (or better yet from all land masses)
COVID to disappear.
Nothing too hard!
Not have the country continue to fail.
To spend the day with my mom (R.I.P. 2001) and my kids so they’d have a chance to know each other.
My daughter lost her phone and my other daughter lost her retainer. Both most likely somewhere in our house, but missing for days. I’d really like them to turn up soon!
Other than that I would like to show you all the pretty tropical plants I have on my deck right now. These beautiful flowers bring so much joy! I would like everyone to have a garden–or at least a houseplant.
And I would like to have a few people to help me pick raspberries in about 2 weeks. There will be loads of them!
I’d like to know @skieurope is OK. If he decided he’d had enough and walked away, fine. I’d completely understand that. I’d just like to know he’s OK.
What happened to skieurope?
I would like our neighbor Goodwill to open. I want to dump some stuff.
I would also like a world peace.
I would like a job for my D2.
I’d like the freedom I had just a few months ago. Freedom to leave my house after 6pm. (curfew). Freedom to travel anywhere.
@HiToWaMom we don’t know what happened to @skieurope. ? Several of the moderators tried contacting him and an administrator who knows his last name tried to find him without luck.
Now all the moderators have sent emergency contact info to the administrators so this won’t happen in the future.
I really liked @skieurope — he was just so knowledgeable about so many different things and a fascinating person. He would have been great to know at a party.
I’d like to see my kids in real life. My younger son isn’t even allowed to travel because of his job. I’d also really, really like to have my fall trip to Scotland, but I’m quite sure we will put it off at least a year.
@HImom, I agree about @skieurope. And I think he was the only moderator that was actually college age, which made him “special” too.
Seemed like a really “good kid” (young adult).
I would love if my daughter didn’t worry about her baby all the time. Daughter is just a bit high strung, and we thing the baby feeds off of the stress.
I wish my husband could worry less and enjoy what is in front of him. Father and daughter are two pea in a pod! Unfortunately, their stress falls on me.
Only to be able to have a family get together with my kids and their wives and my grandkids. Nothing else even comes close.
At this moment, I want my internet and home phones to work. So hard when working from home.
I want DH’s prostate biopsy to be no worse than last year when a miniscule number of cancer cells were found. We’ll know results next week.
I’d like to teach the world to sing… in perfect harmony
Lacking that, I’d like a decluttered house. And a good night’s sleep.
Just to update - Got results of DH’s biopsy and dr. was quite pleased. Not much change from the year before, so another year of active surveillance is all that’s required. Yay!
I would like a windfall to pay off the loans we took out to pay for our kids’ college.
I would also like Middle Kid to show a little appreciation instead of telling us how horrible his childhood was.
One can dream!
If I am thinking economically, just about me, I would like my retirement account to have just a little more padding or my pension to be a little higher so I could feel comfortable retiring sooner rather than later.
In my personal life, I would like to repair the relationship with my older son.
In the world in general, I would like good health and kindness for all.
