What!?

I just read somewhere that someone is worried about not putting there name, dob, and school name on their essays! Were we supposed to???

And, after submitting my app about a week ago, was i, like the yale website says, supposed to receive an email or letter giving me my pin???

Please someone help! i get worried quick

If you submitted online, the common app site automatically adds your name and common app number to the uploaded documents.

thanx
but how about receiving email confirmation or mail confirmation or a pin?

If you are not a strong candidiate they delay time in reviewing your app , and put it aside,

oromia/ed08, I don’t think there is any correlation. My daughter got her PIN, and I am sure they won’t look at her app to form any conclusion at all for a good while since she applied RD. I think it’s just about how loaded they are. Just my guess. My daughter got her email conf in a week and her PIN in the mail 10 days later, but she submitted early Oct. Other people who submitted later got a quicker response (probably because they had staffed up a bit) but anyone who submitted end of Oct is probably caught in a backlog.

how would they know if you’re a strong candidate or not if they don’t review your app?? That doesn’t make sense…

ed08 has six posts. discount his/her opinion.

^^^^ true dat!

@ed08- dats pure crap… who told u such a thing…???..

@oromia: if you r RD applicant… dont panic and hve patienc… Yale must be quiet busy with the EA applicants n stuff… but if you r urself an EA applicant… I suppos u should contact the admission office…

Oromia, Confirmation email and pin # are 2 seperate contacts from Yale to you.
You are international right? So am I. Pin will come in mail and of course take some time, it took about 15-18 days for me. And I’m in the Middle East.

And yes contact someone via phone or email for the confirmation email of your submitted your documents.
