Ran a 5K this morning at the local HS. It was a small run (no bibs or chip timing or awards), but supports a group at the school which focuses on positive choices for good mental health. Saw a few friends, met our new school board rep and talked with the HS psychologist who graduated w/ D ten years ago and was one of her good friends.
I have some laundry and other chores to do, then we will turn on the football game later (D’s MBA school). We won’t be able to watch all of the game as we have dinner plans with friends. That’s OK.
Went with a friend to watch the Veteran’s Day parade in Manhattan on Monday. It goes past the block I work on. It’s always inspiring.
Yesterday, a bunch of went out to celebrate our newest associate having passed the bar. He’s young enough to be my son, so I was enjoying hearing about his and his fiance’s wedding plans, especially since my D was recently engaged.
Today, I had coffee with a friend and then H and I went and bought a new washing machine for his mom.
Boy, do I lead a boring life!
Going to Kleinfelds to shop for a wedding dress with my daughter (after years of watching Say Yes to the Dress together)!
H and I took the car for service - did some joint planning while we waited; ran some errands, had lunch out, walked the dogs. Tomorrow will be chores and a run. Hopefully get to the park with the dogs. Monday always seems to come too soon.

My freezer is defrosted, cleaned, and organized. My mother’s laundry is done and delivered.
While we weren’t expecting to be able to do this, DH and I blitzed through drafts of our estate planning documents and resolved almost all the unmade decisions.
Errands tomorrow. Husband wants to scan more statements and build the burn pile higher, and I am all over that.
Went to a scrapbooking class, husband went golfing today and is going hunting in the morning.
D15 and her bf went shopping for stuff for reveal party and for maternity clothes. Tomorrow I’m making Christmas cards and painting stuff for the reveal party.
The second and last all day rehearsal for this concert. I love love love singing with my 100 sisters in song. Can there be anything to rival all those voices singing together? I am well aware that great swaths of the populace don’t value what we do but I sure love it.
It’s my 60th birthday today! A very contemplative one for sure. Friday we went out with friends, last night DH took me out for dinner and I ordered another Michael Kors purse. Today we are going shopping at our fashion mall, going to see Ford and Ferrari (they have an arts cinema at the mall so convenient), then dinner at a small Italian restaurant. Lots of meals this weekend!

Mundane but nice here. Transplanted a houseplant that husband thinks is dead but I hope isn’t. Built my grocery list and trying to plan my week. Looking for my notes from last Thanksgiving to streamline this one.

The weekend before this was very busy with a city day with friends, then a trip to visit my son on Saturday in his town, and then another 1.5 to 2 hour drive each way Sunday to see my cousins. This weekend I primarily devoted to de-cluttering and getting ready for Thanksgiving house guests and the feast. I did get out on Sunday for lunch and a pottery show with friends, which was fun. Otherwise, was in my house all weekend!
