Originally I had planned on going for neuroscience, however I heard they work long hours and low pay. Correct me if I am wrong.
So now I’m thinking of pursuing a different major. I don’t know how jobs work, but when I get out of college, I want to start my first time ever working. I want to start a well paying job. After earning money, I would like to take a long break by becoming a English teacher in another country. For both the experience and it’d be a nice “break”.
I have a decent amount of interest in biology, technology, business, and possibly animation.
Engineering or comp sci are obvious. Accounting and finance are good to. If none of those interest you, then skip college and start working. Try picking up a trade. I’m considering becoming a police officer right now. If your goal is to get a nice paycheck one day, college is a waste of time.
You don’t have to become a neuroscientist just because you got a degree in neuroscience. In fact, you probably can’t become a neuroscientist with just a bachelor’s degree. Your career opportunities depend more on what kind of internships you get and/or what graduate programs accept you, and those things aren’t perfectly correlated with your major.
Also, I keep hearing that biostatistics is lucrative, and you might like that given the interests you’ve mentioned.
