<p>which one are you more passionate about? If you feel that the band one will give a better insight to you as a person, then go for it! That’s really what the essay is for, and if the student newspaper essay isn’t going to add anything new to your profile that isn’t already listed on your activities, then I wouldn’t do it.</p>
<p>Whichever you feel closest to. Put it this way- are you more passionate about band or newspaper? Which one makes you smile and not stressed to think about? Don’t worry about which is better. You should pick whatever you can describe best because it’s what you KNOW best. Position means nothing ;)</p>

<p>i wud say the band topic…its better to use something that isnt that special but had a great effect on u…and neway u will probably mention being the editor somewhere else in ur application</p>

<p>i just felt bad because i am equally passionate about both and enjoy themn the same amount, but for some reason, when i tried talking about band it came out stronger… maybe because i have been involved in it longer…</p>
<p>as i tell everyone, it’s not the content- it’s how you choose to express it.</p>
<p>If you were involved in it longer and you’re passionate about it, write about it.</p>
