What's for dinner at your house tonight?

^^^ that sounds super delicious. I can TASTE the shrimp!

Chicken Parmesan here.

Panda express. Lol

Bunless turkey burgers and roasted baby squashes.

Grilled steak tips and fresh broccoli sauteed in a ton of butter and a little white wine.

I made strawberry sherbert, came out pretty good. Fresh strawberries, buttermilk, sugar, a little vanilla, a little vodka, voila! Maybe we’ll skip dinner and go righ to dessert.

Grilled porterhouse, baked potatoes and salad. I’d make mint julep’s in honor of the Derby but I don’t like them, so it’ll be bloody mary’s for cocktails while we watch the race.

Tonight it is cedar-planked salmon and assorted grilled veggies. Maybe a tiny slice of tiramisu cake, too. :)

Cole Slaw, fried fish, spaghetti , with very sweet ice tea . Tonight the “southern” has come out in me.

Pizza on the grill. (White pizza w/truffle oil, scallions, artichoke hearts and fresh sage from my patio garden.)

Green salad. Blue Moon beer with an orange slice.

Steak on the grill and a really fabulous cauliflower recipe from the cookbook Plenty. It a vegetarian cookbook with a mideast slant. I bet I can reproduce the recipe by heart:

Saffron infused roasted cauliflower
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

1 head of cauliflower - broken up into florettes.
1 sliced red onion (largish)
1/2 cup olives (recipe says use green ones)
1/3 cup of golden raisins (soften in hot water if they are too dry)
1/4 cup olive oil (I use extra virgin)
salt and pepper

Mix all this together and put on a cookie sheet. Cover with foil and roast for 20 minutes. Uncover and give it a stir and roast it another 20 minutes. (Recipe says to recover, but I think it gets too steamed.)

While it’s cooking take 1.5 tsp of saffron (you can use less if the price of saffron makes you nervous) and soak it in about 1/3 cup boiling water. Put the roasted vegetables in a bowl, pour the saffron water over it and give it a stir. So good!

BunsenBurner, do you do anything extra to your cedar planked salmon? Thinking of having that tomorrow.

IDad, your meal sounds fabulous too, maybe I should look at the shrimp and see which looks better!

Big dinner salad for me tonight. Granny smith apple, spice salami, parmigiano reggiano cheese.

mathmom, since Mr B is allergic to some components of store-bought salmon rubs, I lightly sprinkle salmon filet with rice vinegar, then with some lemon pepper and dill, put a few lemon slices on the top, and grill until done.

Sort of Rhode Island style chowder–clams, onions, potatoes, carrots, celery, in a rosemary-infused olive oil/white wine/clam broth.

All cooked by my H, who also gathered the clams.

Blackened red snapper filets (fish caught by my sister); steamed asaparagus; roasted spicy sweet potoato wedges; green salad.

BunsunBurner I’m not a big fan of store-bought rubs. The last cedar plank salmon I made had a topping of brown sugar and ancho chile - it’s good, but I think it drowns out the cedar. Yours sounds yummy, I’d never have thought of using rice vinegar. Will try it tomorrow - I’m having I-Dad’s shrimp tonight!

I’m firing up the grill for some thick cut pork chops. Doing brussel sprouts as a side dish on the stove.

I have no idea what to do for dinner tonight and there’s not much in the house. I am hoping H will either get inspired or order take out.

Absolutely gagged on them as a child. Now just absolutely LOVE them. Enjoy. :)

Left over chicken plus frozen stew veggies I mixed together using a gravy mix. Made pie crusts, and we’re having home made pot pies, with a boston bib salad with strawberries and blue cheese crumbs.

Did anyone do a Cinco de Mayo meal? Me neither ;)

Although I do like many Mexican & Spanish inspired meals…tonight, though, we had Chicken Teriyaki with Red peppers and Peas and sweet & white potato baked French fry wedges…I still make the smashed potatoes quite often and even have enough extra to make some this week…

Tomorrow grilled steak with tzatziki sauce and veggies with or without wraps

Tuesday my college student will be home and he loves a very easy pasta with meat sauce Bolognese.
