What's Going On Deferrees?

Hey you all. We are the deferred. The weeks leading up to the 16th were rough, but the weeks after were rougher. Now it’s one month later, and I just wanted to touch base. How is everyone holding up. Less than two months left until we find out (well, I say less than two months because I go to boarding school and we get off on break on March 7. When I’m home, nothing really matters, and time flies.) STAY STRONG. Keep in touch. Let us know how your doing. Remember 13% chance of admission.

So ya. This is a thread that will just help us stay in touch. What’s been going on?

Not a whole lot. Other applications are out, and I am studying for finals. I have been busy swimming at school. While I am looking more closely at the other schools I have applied, Yale is still #1, and I still have hope. I hope to be one of the lucky 13 (percent).

the past week has been great. Intel semis, 18th bday, and end of first semester. All that remains is to update Yale and live senioritis to the fullest. Like Lemonjello, Yale’s still my #1, and i have hope that things will turn around for us deferees in April

I’ve been doing the exam thing too, plus researching this massive research paper that in some ways is actually turning out to be a lot of fun. I’ve also got a ton of music stuff and mock trial competitions coming up. Plus scholarships. You all know how much fun those are…

congratulations wrath, and happy birthday. What was your project?

Thanks lemon. I studied the effect of a toxin called acrolein on the structure and function of apolipoprotein E (apoE), a protein that regulates cholesterol metabolism. I found that acrolein binds to apoE and impairs its function, resulting in a buildup of plasma cholesterol.
