<p>The U.S. Capitol and White House are being evacuated as alarms rang through the buildings. War planes were seen flying overhead and security cars rushed away from the building. Reporters in the White House were told to move to a more secure location. No other details are available.</p>

<p>According to CNN, a plane entered the White House air space, but the all clear signal has now been given.</p>
<p>A cessna was off course. They raised the terror alert level to some reddish hue and then admitted that it was only a mistake.</p>
<p>They routed the plane to land in Frederick, MD. (about an hour northwest of DC) so they can question the pilot. The plane is from a flying club in PA, and probably entered the airspace unknowingly–but that air space restriction is well known to pilots, so he must not have been paying attention.</p>
<p>The evacuation happened to us last year when we were waiting near the Capitol for the Reagan funeral procession–it was very frightening the way we had to keep running farther and farther from the area around the Capitol! But having been here for 9/11, we would rather have to go through the evacuation process, and have it be nothing, than to have it be something real and many people killed or injured because they have not evacuated the area in danger.</p>
<p>Can you imagine being the pilot of that Cessna? How embarrassing!</p>
