I don’t like to advertise this, but I categorize myself as being gay and you know, that means I only like men. Now, lately, since 11th grade, every once in a while, I’ll have a “Straight” dream, and they freak me out so much every time I have them b/c i know that I don’t like girls at all, so it’s weird for me (my straight friends have similar gay dreams.) But, it ***cs with my mind so badly all the time and I don’t get it haha. I wonder why it does…Does anyone else ever had weird experiences with dreams with include the opposite sexual orientation that they aren’t?

If you want to get all Freudian, you could say that your dreams reflect your unconscious conflicts and/or desires. I don’t know. I don’t really do dream analysis or anything like that.

Sorry, I never had a homosexual dream (I am hetero) I do believe in drams being representative, as an example all of my life everytime I dream of white sheets or curtains, somebody I know dies within a month (typically unexpected), this started when I was 8. There is a great site called [An Online Guide To Dream Interpretation](http://www.dreammoods.com) and you might be able to get the answer there. Remember dreams can be symbolistic, maybe you feel that society is making you question yourself sexuality, maybe it is the fact that it is messing with your mind and that is why

Haha, alright just reporting back. I’m all better now, realizing that dreams are just that…dreams. It was a dream fo my best friend, and I love her and all just like you know i’m not sexually attracted to her so it was really freak yfor me hehe. … LAter, talking with my VERY lesbian friend, I’ve found out she has had so many graphic straight dreams i almost deleted this post ahaha.

I’ve never had a gay dream myself. However, over the past week, I’ve had quite a few dreams about random stuff. Usually I get in trouble either in school, with my parents, or with the law in my dreams. I wake up all anxious thinking punishment is coming soon. Then I rationalize it and realize it was a dream.

What I’ve heard is best to do when dreams are troubling you is write down what you remember of them in a journal each morning when you wake up. As you do this, over time your dreams will become more frequent. The goal is that you’ll have dreams each and every night. Eventually, looking back at your notes, you might be able to deduce something from them.
