<p>What would it take to get into UChicago’s Social Sciences division grad school from a school like mine? My advisor went to UChicago for his Phd so I’ll ask him too…I can’t get grad school off my mind!!!</p>
<p>I think you should get it off your mind. You’re a freshman, and your interests may change radically by the time you apply to grad school. What if no one at UChicago ends up sharing your research interests? There’s no point in going there, then. I think you should relax a bit and focus on doing well in the here and now (you’ll have to do exceedingly well to get into a good Anth program anywhere), and develop your interests as you go.</p>

<p>No, it’s not too early, but I’d recommend against being fixated on one particular school, unless it has specific requirements that other schools don’t that you’ll need to take care of. What if you don’t get into that one school? You’ll need other options that fit your interests.</p>
