what's it like in the basement?

i’ve been placed in a molson single in the basement, but please tell me it isn’t as bad as i think it is?

How do you know?

im from the area, and i gave in my lease yesterday. while i was there, they told me.

Well, I remember walking past them when we were up for a visit. As I remember, the trade off was a larger room but I may be wrong.

any comments on windows/lighting? did it seem as active as any other floor would be? i’m probably overreacting about this, but hey, most people would be disappointed at first if they had to live their first year in the basement :/

it is full of Black widows, and little people that hide in corners.

Dude, you are so screwed. You know those shady rooms in movies with the bleak concrete walls, that one single incandescent lightbulb hanging from the cieling, and the rust marks that drip down the sides of the wall? …

well that’s not what those basements are like. I have never been down there ever in my life; In fact I have never been in any McGill residences.

basement:
positive: you’re right next to laundry and garbage : ), more quiet. i guess bigger rooms never seen them, don’t ever have to walk UP stairs when you come home.
negative: all your friends will be on other floors, might get lonely. It’s an all guys floor as well
