whats it take to qualify athletically

I am currently playing Football during the fall and lifting weights in the winter and playing lacrosse in the spring. My question is would i still be qualified athletically if i dropped football next year to bring my grades up. That would mean playing only one school sport.

Not at all. One sport is fine…try to excel at it and in school as well as extra-curriculars. Good luck!

Id suggest playing football sports are demanding, but they also help you focus your work load and develop time management skills. Tou’re going to be required to play sports at WP so you should get used to the demands it places on you.

i played soccer freshman year, badminton junior year, and am kickboxing senior year. do you think this will make me athletically qualified? I dont have any varsity letters, but if I play badminton senior year (i would soo rather kickbox) then i could get a varsity letter easily.

Agotaquestion: Playing a sport is not a requirement to receive an appointment, being physically fit is. While the academies would prefer a candidate that participates in sports your academics will carry a heavier weight in your candidate assessment, unless you’re striving to be a recruited athlete. My suggestion is that you work on your academics, especially your SAT/ACT scores.

Taffy: As i said above, being a varsity athlete is not a requirement to receive an appointment. You should qualify athletically if you show a history of meaningful athletic participation along with a good CFA score.

Good luck to both of you.
