I got rejected from exeter and deerfield last year, waitlisted at andover and accepted at middlesex but didnt go

This year im only applying to andover and exeter, got rejected at exeter

wow. im surprised u got rejected at exeter. i would have said u had a good shot. middlesex is a good school. what didnt u like? (i didnt apply there, just curious.)

i was kinda suprised by that too, middlesex just seemed a little too small but mainly cause my parents are willing to pay for andover and exeter but we’d really have to stretch the budget to pay for mx and we do not qualify for financial aid and my parents dont think as highly of it so they were less willing to shell out the cash

oooh. i got in exeter, but i dont kno what i got for FA.

what were ur stats?

are u in 10th grade now?

no currently in ninth grade, applying for tenth, stats as in SSAt sports, gpa Etc

ooooh. 93% on ssat, we don’t have gpa, but straight A’s

i just dont know what i have to do to get in there, my best friend got in last year and we are almost identical only hes a little bit better writer and im fluent in russian.

Spiff up your essays, knock them dead on your interviews. If you are particularly good at one of your sports (i.e. premier club level, Varsity starter as a freshman, etc.) contact the coach…actually go to a game and introduce yourself…in addition to sending in the athlete questionairre. Also, try to pick up some sort of activity that shows leadership…run for a class office, become involved in a community service activity.
