fee reduction for online application: $20;

Common candidate profile: you may make copies and it’s accepted at 8 schools - Andover, Exeter, Groton, Deerfield, SPS, Lawrenceville, Hotchkiss and Taft.

You are encouraged to apply to one of the named endowment scholarships: Tang, Phelps, George HW Bush and Davis.

I haven’t seen the information regarding the endowed scholarships. Is it on the website? I thought all FA candidates were considered for these. Could you elaborate a little?

Would you please elaborate on these? I know a poster (or his kid) got the Tang, I believe. His name was Watertester.

Descriptions of the above mentioned four prestigious endowment scholarships are included in the application packet (on a separate sheet), and you (parents/teachers?) are encouraged to “recommend students who might qualify for them”. Endowment scholarships are part of the need-based financial aid. A student needs to be qualified for financial aid first, plus he/she possess excellence in certain areas specified in the scholarship description. My guess is that even if you don’t “recommend”, your student will be placed in the pool automatically.

I never recieved any information about these scholarships in my application packet and I am applying for freshman year

We received Andover packet, but we did not see the scholarship info. Better check again at home today…
