We’ve tried cheap ones on eBay, tried fancy ones from Costco, etc. Nothing is great and I’d like some 6’ cords. Has anyone found a reliable long-lasting charger cord?

I like Belkin chargers. Not cheap but have lasted a long time and charge quickly.
Anker ones are pretty much the best ones out there. Anything that is MFI-certified and has good protection right at the head is good though. I don’t recommend Amazon Basics, they don’t last very long. Of course if you have a iPhone 8 or X then using a Qi charger is the way to go.

I was just reading an article today about the best way to take care of your iPhone. One of the tips was about after market chargers. Most of them are not recommended. However, they did specifically mention that Anker is best if you are going to buy an after-market brand.
I got a ten foot cable at Bed Bath and Beyond in fall 2015. It is terrific. It’s the first one I’ve ever gotten that didn’t break within months. $19.99 IIRC, but last time I was there, I did not see one like it.
I have no idea what brand it is.

I’ve been using this charger for a couple years. Just bought another one for D; I was going to get her an Anker charger initially, but too many reviews of them melting!

The cable and charger have held up well with my travel schedule. Once or twice a month they get tossed in my backpack and carried along for use in airports, hotels, and cars.
The current Costco ones seem better than the prior metal-clad ones. They’re Ubio labs and have braiding and better sleeves at the ends than the original iPhone.
The Costco one is a twin-pack. 2 cables (about 6’ each), a dual usb wall adapter and dual usb car adapter. I think it as $30 for the package.
Also bought one from Walgreens that seems pretty decent. It says it comes with a lifetime warranty.
We have had good reliability with the Amazon Basics charging cables for our many iPhones.
