Whats the best APs for a medical career?

Hi, I’m wondering what AP classes would be good for preparing someone who’s going into the medical field.

Biology, chem, psych are good.

What about physics?

AP English Lang & Lit
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP Physics B
AP Psychology
Sociololgy

Check the pre-med forum. Many medical schools do not accept AP credit to fulfill pre-med course requirements, so you may have to either retake the courses in college, or take an equivalent number of more advanced courses instead.

Note that grade in college or dual enrollment courses taken while in high school will count toward your GPA when you apply to medical school. This may be good (if you get A grades) or bad (if you get lower grades). AP courses in high school and AP test scores do not count.

Obviously, you should take the most rigorous courses you can in high school to prepare for college level work.

What in the med field? You mean pre-med or another path?
If it’s future med school, the question is which APs will best help you get accepted as a STEM major at a good college and/or prepare you for the college courses on a pre-med track, so you don’t get weeded out.

And, yes, that’s bio, chem, physics, plus the higher math. Plus relevant outside experiences in the health field. It’s not mandatory to major in STEM, but it’s good to prepare yourself for the courses and consider the competiton, depending on the schools you apply to.

It doesn’t really matter, do whatever interest you at the time.

Physics b, bio, chem, and psychology.
